Fallout 3 takes place in the year 2277 after the great war between China and the United States. To escape from the war the government created vault 101, an underground space made to keep their residents safe. After 200 years the residents of vault 101 were still alive. In the game, you play as a resident of vault 101, you grow up there, you start as a baby, learn how to walk, you have your 10th birthday party then you take an essential test in high school 6 years later called the ” G.O.A.T. Test “, it determines your abilities based on your score on the test. 3 Years later your father escape the vault for some reason and the vault police think you’re in on the plan to escape the vault, you’re only choice is to escape vault 101.

After you escape the vault the world is full of creatures plotting to get you, remaining bits of the human race, and secret organizations. Since the game is rated M my dad only showed me the parts that don’t have the bad stuff. Other than that this is one heck of a game! It’s up to your parents to decide if you can have the game. I love this game and I know will too! Since Fallout three is for 3 different platforms I’ll list all of them.

You get multiple challenges with consequences or rewards based on your actions. Build your character through pivotal events of your childhood in Vault 101. Assign skill points to reflect your style of play and put yourself to the test as you venture out into the sunlight in the shattered remnants of Washington DC in search of your father – the first man to leave the Vault. Radiation is everywhere and you’ll have to balance finding food to regain health against your radiation level – putting the struggle for survival in very real terms. Character interaction can lead you to shortcuts or can lead you into dead-ends. Side quests give you the opportunity to gain aid and allies and more detail than you can pick-up on a single play-through. Play in either first- or third-person, going beyond simple run-and-gun with the Vault-Tech Assisted Targeting System (VATS), which lets you pause the action and spend points to target a specific part of your foe with dramatic results if you hit. Take care of your weapons, however as they’ll wear out without maintenance. Combine weapons into newer, more powerful ones – if you took that skill. You’ll find touches of the same dark humor that set Fallout apart in the first place along with retro 1950’s styles set against the ruins. Prepare for the future!
