Books & Reading

The Lightning Thief is by Rick Riordan about a twelve year old Percy Jackson is an average kid. He had ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, and he’s always shipped off to boarding school. One day on a field trip his teacher attacks him. How weird? He’s taken to a place called Half-Blood Hill by his best friend, Grover, who turns out to be half goat! He soon figures out the ancient Greek gods are real. This is one of my favorite books, and series. He finds out that Zeus, the god of lightning and the skies, has his master lightning bolt stolen, and he wants it by the Summer Solstice. Can Percy recover the bolt? And can he get it before the Summer Solstice? I loved this book so much I decided to read the second one in the series, the Sea of Monsters. I think you should buy this book because it has action, mystery, and more. As most of you probably know, it’s also going to be in the movies! The book has so many scenes, events and places I’m afraid it’ll be too epic even for the movie theaters. One moment he’s at school, the next he’s in a water park, the next he’s in Las Vegas, and after that he’s in the Unerworld! It’s a pretty good book, but I don’t think they will be able to fit all the scenes into the movie. It entertains a wide age group of kids. My school likes it, my dad likes it, and the kids in my neighborhood like it. Click the buy button below to buy Percy Jackson and the Olympians: the Lightning Thief

Hello, today I’ll be talking about the affects of being a young youtuber can affect your videos and I’ll be talking about my video” My Own Personal Clone “. First of all, let me mention my video, my own personal clone . I made this video at iD Tech Camp, a place where professionals teach kids how to do stuff on computers, like making video games, making website, and making videos like what I did. Here’s the video:
At the last day of iD tech weeks we have a film contest. There were six categories and I won 5 out out of all those awards. I told my dad this and he decided to put it on youtube and make it so it had A LOT of views. I wouldn’t want to pass up an offer like this, right?
My instrucor, Tai Da gave me lot of cool ideas for the movie, like the part when I go crazy in the news. He also showed me a lot of cool places in the campus of UC Irvine to film. The girl who did the news scene and the commercial scene also helped a lot. She played three characters in the movie! Wow! And she also put together the news and commercial scene. We mainly we used Final Cut Pro to make this movie.
Being about 15 and younger could give you an advantage to your film making. Usually people are amazed by how people this young could try and make a film. But some others see this as a chance to criticize people’s work. Watch out for these kinds of people. I started out using Windows Movie Maker to make all my films. I have now gotten Pinnacle Studio a powerful video making program.
If you have trouble with a video ask a friend, parent, or family member, they’d love to help you with your film! If you’ve made an awesome video and you are a kid you are pretty cool!

iD Tech Camp was very fun and educational! It has several courses to be taken! Like web design video editing,or game design for example. At iD Tech Camp they did fun activities and games. You could create your own personal website at iD Tech, you could create your own 5 minute movie, you could create your own personal 3D game, you could make robots, you could test other people’s games, you could show your project to your friends and more! There are many courses to take at iD tech Camp and you can only do one per week. Some can be complicated and some are very easy. The one I did last week was a piece of cake, but this week it’s the complete opposite!
At http://www.internaldrive.com/index.php you can sign up for the camp, you can play games, see pictures, see videos, and read the camp blog! This camp is very fun and I’d recommend to anyone with a knowledge of computers.

Little brothers, they can get out of control. Some scream and cry, some punch and kick, and some are just plain crazy! My little brother, Dylan is a is all of those! He blames me for EVERYTHING! Some time he hits me. He overreacts which is a big pain in the butt. But, he can be nice when he wants and I’ll always love him. There are benefits of being the older sibling like you get to make up the games, you get to have more privileges, you can do certain things that your younger sibling can’t do, you get to tell them the rules, and the best part you get to be their best friend!
My family is HUGE! I have tons of cousins ( that are pretty much the same as Dylan ) and one of my cousins, Charles them even tried to lick me! On Thursday I’m going to Catalina with my uncle, Dylan, my parents, my grandparents, and Charles. Let’s hope Charles acts good and not bad. Over the years Dylan and Charles have been getting better and better and their behavior is not as bad as before but still needs improvement. I never knew that Dylan and his army of bad behaving 7 year olds would ever be so bad!
I’ve heard of cases where siblings acted bad, like in books or on the internet. But I never knew my nightmare would come to life! I started when dylan was about five. The first thing he did that irritated me was his screaming. That horrible screaming! He started growing more and more bad until it stopped. He still acted bad but not as bad as before. Today, I just ask Dylan to stop hurting me and he does. He loves me and wants to be my friend, but has a funny way of showing it.
Little Brothers, Don’t You Love Em’?
