August 6, 2008 Holidays & Occasions No CommentsToday I went to the beach. I brought my friend Gracie, and my little brother Dylan. We were going to have a lot of fun. When we got to the beach Gracie and I headed straight to the water. Gracie and I swam under the big waves and and jumped over the small waves as my little brother was playing around in the shallower water. Gracie found an orange floating in the water and then I smashed it and threw it pass a couple big waves. It was getting later in the afternoon and Dylan got out of the water and went to sleep next to my mom. About 30 minutes after that Gracie and I got out of the water and dried off. After we dried off we went home. I hope you liked the story of the beach bye!
Here’s a cool link to a fun website about the beach
Hat
May 5, 2008 Holidays & Occasions No CommentsHi! i’m going to tell you about one of my best days ever it’s an awesome story! On my way to school I was so excited it had been my hat and tie parade! This was a day where you make your own tie at home if your a boy. And make your own hat at home if your a girl. It had also been a party day at my school everybody brought a food on the food list we all had a donut before we went to show our ties and hats.
When it was time to show our hats and ties we marched around the playground. The judges were amused by our amazing hats and ties. ( I almost forgot there are winners for the best hat and ties). I was so nervous until……..I heard them call who the winners were……………On the loud speaker they announced…… these are the winners for the tie parade in third grade…… First place is……..Nicholas McIntosh……. Second place was Brent Abel. They announced the hat parade winners for third grade first place is……….Emily Judy second place………kathleen winners come to the office and claim your prize.
As we walked down the tall stairs through the hall into Ms. Lynns office. We all said hello and she said congratulations. She told us all to hand our hats and ties, we did as she said. After that she gave us our prizes they were chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and a stuffed animal.
When the party began there were caprisun, orange juice, donuts, peeps, cookies, candy, brownies and cupcakes. When we went outside to play I sat on the bench eating jellybeans. When we went back inside We watched a movie called Brother Bear. Then we went outside again I saw a sign that said”The 1st annual dance today at 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. pay 5 dollars per person”. I went to the office and gave them the my five dollars. When my mom picked me up we went to islands and I explained the dance to her and she said I can go. When I got back to school I had to wait in a big line and hand them a permission slip. When I got inside the dance room it looked way different then when it was a game room. There was a discoball a strobe light there were tons of candy (of course) and they had a huge projector screen. The first song was “Low” I was dancing like crazy. About 10 minutes later the room was filled with about 110 people. When the dance room was empty and every body was in the table room I chased the disco lights all around the room. I got very dizzy so I went to the table room. When it was the last song the DJ (Mr. Phil) kept playing another one. At last my mom came and watched us dance. Finally she said time to go so I said “goodbye” and I went home. That was a very fun day well I hope you like my story bye!
How
March 24, 2008 Holidays & Occasions No CommentsI had a great Easter! When I woke up I snuck downstairs and saw thousands of eggs. First I saw a golden egg by my couch then I saw a small purple egg under my pillow. I didn’t want to collect them then my little brother wouldn’t have any eggs. When my family came downstairs we started the hunt. At the end of the hunt I won because I knew where they were.
When we opened our baskets we got : puzzles, candy, dinosaur toys, tech decks, and bubbles after that we had french toast for breakfast it was so tasty. After breakfast I went outside to play with my bubbles. When I got inside I watched Peter CottonTail.
About 30 minutes later there was an Easter Pinata in our backyard!!! We each took turns hitting the pinata when it was my little brother’s turn he whacked the pinata right off the string. When my dad tied it back it back together it was my turn I got three turns to hit it. On my first turn 3 things fell out, on my second swing candy started to leak out and on my last turn it exploded candy flew every where! There were tech decks, toy lizards, candy, easter eggs, and bouncy balls.
That was the best Easter ever! I hope it’ll be better next year I hope you liked my Easter story bye! ( Dear reader, I will usually make a story about each of the holidays and how it was for me. All these stories are true so I’m not making this up.
Sincerely,
Nicholas
